Rescue Sleds
The GLS Rescue Sled has been evolving for 20 years. GLS has been improving their Rescue Sled through constant R & D and suggestions from Lifeguards and Tow-in Surfers. With this knowledge and continuous improvements, the GLS Rescue Sled is the Best Sled on the water today. The GLS Rescue Sled has a full functional outline which provides maximum stability and a smooth ride. A 50/50 beveled rail makes for Easy turning and reduces drag on the PWC. This design encompasses extra tail rocker for easy turning and less digging in when backing up. The curved "Arc" tail shape is form fitting for rescuing swimmers and tow-in surfers that are in need of help.
The Sleds are built with 4 laminated stringers for maximum strength. We use our “Dura-Slick” skin for the bottom and our cross link skin on the deck and rails for durability. The handle system is built with re-inforced tubing covered with neoprene. It is composed of 13 continuous loops for easy access and grab. The attachment system utilizes a thermal formed nose cone, which is securely fastened to an internal structure using stainless steel hardware. It is one solid unit! The GLS Rescue Sleds are built for Lifeguards and Tow-in Surfers. They come in 5'6", 6'0" and 6'6" lengths and are 36" wide and 4" thick.
