GLS Surf and Rescue has been building Soft Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP's) since Dec. of 2006. The GLS design team of Greg Szabad and Craig Hollingsworth has created the Best Soft SUP in the world today. Constantly improving our shapes and designs through hours of Research and Development. Proven in the Ocean surf and Inland waterways, they have created a great SUP for Surfing and Recreational Paddling. The GLS Soft SUP is Safe and comfortable for the Paddler (Water Yoga anyone?) and for any passengers i.e. young children or pets. The New Dura-Slick bottom skins prevent the SUP's from getting damaged from rocks and other hard surfaces easily. The GLS Soft SUP's are perfect for Resorts, Surf Schools and Camps, Lifeguard and Jr. Guard programs, Rentals, Retail Stores, Sail and Motor Boats, Surfing and Recreational Paddlers and All Around Fun. The GLS SUP's come in lengths of 10'0", 11'0" and 12'0" and are 30" wide and 4" thick. Smaller sizes for children can be made on request.
Flatwater SUP
The GLS “Flatwater” Stand UP Paddleboard (SUP) is our newest model. After hours of R & D, we have the Best soft Flatwater SUP on the market today. We studied the premier Racing SUP's and incorporated their design ideas into the GLS “Flatwater” SUP. The “Flatwater” SUP is designed for long distance and leisurely paddles on Lakes, Lagoons, Bays and other Open Waterways.
Our new sleeker shape features a flat deck with full boxy rails that round out toward the nose. This rail and template design keeps the board on a straight track. The bottom is flat with a slight low angled bevel toward the rails, for release. All of the designs encompassed with a very low rocker from nose to tail gives the GLS “flatwater” SUP great Glide and Speed. Great fun for the whole family. The GLS “Flatwater” SUP is built with the same construction and material as our standard Surfing SUP. We utilize the 2 extra “Outrigger” stringers on the boards 11'0" and longer. The GLS “flatwater” SUP comes in lengths of 10'0", 11'0" and 12'0". Smaller sizes for children can be made on request.
